Time to Celebrate!

By Heather Robertson

This time of year is so full of opportunity and abundance. Opportunity to reflect upon all our efforts in 2015 followed by an abundant amount of fresh wisdom learned throughout the year. It's the continual awareness of the fresh new wisdom that keeps our personal and professional lives rich with insight.

People naturally begin to ponder last winter, spring, summer, and fall without much effort. It's an organic occurrence and creating the time to embrace this innate desire offers many golden nuggets of wisdom to take with you into the New Year.

Now, there are many things to ponder - people you met, places you've been, employees you hired, budgets that were great, budgets that were a bust, surprising outcomes, and moments of great insight that changed everything. No matter if something is positive or negative it will offer a jewel of learning with the potential to become wisdom.

I'm inviting you to celebrate all of your 2015; both the challenging and the brilliant. Celebrating yourself and your viability is essential to keep the energy moving with what's to come. It keeps us light-hearted and in the place of the heart.

Celebrations are an action of honoring, accepting, and allowing. Sometimes at first it's tough to loosen up, shake free and open up because often we find ourselves highly focused upon strategy, plans, outcomes, and overall responsibilities.

Celebrations build a key ingredient within business-Relationship.

Relationships are the #1 most important piece to success, growth, happiness, and insight. These relationships can be with others however the relationship you have with yourself is foremost. This primary relationship will sail your ship and guide you to your vision, mission, and dreams.

The relationship with self is sacred and only you know what will support you the most, bring you the most joy, and offer pathways to celebrate new beginnings and endings.

This month is about celebrating all of you including the paths walked to land where you are today. Every single step and outcome has offered information, feedback, and outcomes that are gifts. Some of those gifts are not easy to accept nonetheless it's an opportunity to grow, evolve, and engage as we move towards our dreams with zest and focus.

So how do you celebrate the triumphs and the falls? For me, celebrating reminds me to keep it light and not be so hard on myself.  It shakes me loose of tension.

Considering you too, may want to celebrate, I created a list of ideas.

Here you go:

  • Give back to your clients, customers or co-workers. This feels so great!

  • Set some free time aside, go to the spa and take yourself out to dinner.

  • Reach out to friends and have a small gathering where you can all share your year together.

  • Book a trip that inspires your senses and/or your teams senses. This is a huge inspiration booster!

  • Cook up a new recipe and open a wonderful bottle of wine.

  • Highlight your co-workers and celebrate together. One year I took my team for a day of golf and massages.  It was lovely.  Now granted golf isn't my go to for outdoor adventure, however for my team, they loved it!

The art of celebration vary for each of us and is incredibly important for moral and energy.  I encourage you to celebrate something everyday, once a week, or once a month.  It will invigorate your 2016!

Wishing you an astounding New Year!
